One Star Review (“we”, “us”) is an independent, non-commercial short-video channel. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with our website at onestar.travel and the tools we use to publish our own content to our own social-media accounts.
Our website
onestar.travel is a static informational website. It does not set tracking cookies, does not run advertising or analytics profiling, and does not collect personal information from visitors. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Publishing to our social accounts
We use a self-hosted social-media management tool to schedule and publish our own videos to social platforms that we own or control (such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, Threads and Facebook). When we connect one of our accounts to that tool, the platform’s API provides:
- Basic account information — for example an account ID, display name and avatar — so the tool can show which of our accounts is connected.
- Permission to upload and publish videos that we create, to our own connected accounts.
How we use it
- Solely to publish content we schedule to our own connected accounts.
- We do not sell, rent or share this information with third parties.
- We do not use platform data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to publishing our own content.
- We do not access, collect or store information about other users of those platforms.
Storage and control
The publishing tool runs on our own private server. Access tokens are stored only to maintain the connection to our accounts and can be revoked at any time from the relevant platform’s account or security settings. We retain this data only for as long as an account stays connected.
Third-party platforms
Your use of the social platforms themselves is governed by their own privacy policies, including those of TikTok, Google/YouTube, Meta and X. We are not responsible for their practices.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
